Sub-processors
The third-party services CloseUp uses to process customer data, and what each one is used for.
CloseUp relies on a small number of third-party services to run some of its features. We publish this list so you know exactly who handles your data and why.
Sub-processor list
| Provider | Purpose | What it receives |
|---|---|---|
| OpenAI | AI analysis (primary) | Call content, transcripts, messages and lead details for analysis, summaries and recommendations. Also a fallback for transcription. |
| Google (Gemini) | AI analysis and transcription (fallback) | The same data as OpenAI, used when the primary provider is unavailable. |
| Deepgram | Call transcription (primary) | Call recordings, to turn them into text. |
| Meta | WhatsApp Business and lead ads | Inbound and outbound WhatsApp messages, and leads from Lead Ads forms. If you connect an ad account, also conversion reporting. |
| Green API | WhatsApp gateway (interim) | Inbound and outbound WhatsApp messages. |
| Twilio | SMS and call logs | Outbound SMS and inbound call details (no recordings). |
AI processing can be switched off
AI processing and call transcription are controlled per company. Each can be switched off on its own; when it is off, data is not sent to OpenAI, Google or Deepgram for that purpose.
Turning AI off stops automatic analysis, summaries and recommendations. Turning transcription off stops recordings from being converted to text. The rest of the CRM keeps working as usual.
Services you connect yourself
This list covers the providers CloseUp uses to run the product. Services your company chooses to connect, such as your telephony provider, mailbox, calendar or ad accounts, work through your own connection to them. Each connection is described in the integration guides.
